Margaret Patricia "Madgie" Conti, 76, was born March 11, 1934, to Thomas F. and Eileen Coady in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, and passed away May 4, 2010, peacefully at home. She married her "perfect" husband, Johnny, on June 3, 1952.
She was born and raised in St, John's Newfoundland, Canada, where she met and married Johnny in 1952. They traveled the world and raised their children until Johnny retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1973, and they settled in Midwest City OK. Madgie owned "Der Ruhe Salon of Beauty" in Del City OK in the early 1970's, and then she and her husband owned Conti Plumbing, Heat & Air for several years. Madgie retired to enjoy her grandchildren and take care of her husband before he passed away. She was a longtime member of the "Ramblin Rose Red Hats." Madgie and Johnny loved ballroom dancing, going to the deer woods, and cooking Italian food. Madgie loved going shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 50 years, and her grandson "Tommy Toe."
She is survived by her brother-in-law Donald Conti of Albuquerque NM; daughter Clare Conti of the home; daughter Carol Rutledge and husband Wesley of Choctaw OK; grandchildren Traci Brown, Michael and Sarah Brown, Matthew and Lori Rutledge, and Lindsey and Nathan Henson; great-grandchildren: Taylor Koone, Nathan Brown, Kaylee Brown, Raedyn White, and Charlotte Henson.
