LONGVIEW — Funeral services for Helen Jones Adkisson, 77, of Longview, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2011, in the Rosewood Park Mausoleum, under the direction of Rader Funeral home of Longview. Mrs. Adkisson passed away Monday morning in Longview. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. today, June 7, 2011, at the funeral home.
Helen was born on December 25, 1933, in Harleton, Texas, to C.C. "Buck" and Leola Jones. She loved her family and took great pride and joy in caring for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Adkisson, six brothers and three sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, Max Adkisson of Longview; her son and daughter-in-law, Mark Adkisson and Carmela Davis of Longview; her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and David Bagley of White Oak; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Johnny Jones; and one sister, Beatrice Jones.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Beacon Hospice at Margaret's House, 5016 Gilmer Rd., Longview, TX 75604; or to Longview Cancer Center, 1400 North 4th St., Longview, TX 75601.
