I know it says she is single, but she shows up in a 1940 US Census with Sylvester L Mitchum and some of his children after his first wife, Nancy Braxton, died. She is listed on some of his children's death certificate as their mother, but I believe that Nancy is actually their mother.

This 1930 US Census shows the same children as on the 1940 US Census except with the last name of Mitchum on the 1940 census. I don't know if they were her children and he gave them his last name, or if she was taking care of them after his wife died in 1926, and then they married/lived together. On another census in 1930 Sylvester Mitchum is listed as widowed with no wife.
