LAWRENCEVILLE, PA —
David J. Abramson, age 66, of Ryon Circle in Lawrenceville, PA went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA after a courageous battle with cancer.

David was born on October 1, 1943 in Buffalo, NY to Irving and Anita (Swan) Abramson. David was a graduate of Corning Free Academy, and attended Corning Community College. He served in the United States Army. He married Janet Gridley 1963 in Caton. He had been employed by Experience Works of Wellsboro as a job coach. He was a member of Lindley Community Church.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; two daughters, Michelle (Paul) Zylowski of Hillsborough, NC and Rachelle (Tom) Fletcher of Seneca Falls, NY; one son, Peter Abramson of Horseheads; five grandchildren, Brandon, Kyle, Sarah, Jared, and Kendra; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Carol Vanneson.

A memorial service of celebration will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Lindley Community Church, Route 15, Lindley, NY with Reverend Ron Head officiating. Burial will be in Nelson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to the Guthrie Clinic, Sayre, c/o Nancy Quattrini, Guthrie Square, Sayre, PA 18840

Arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Corning, NY.
