Viola Haynsworth Craig, 84, died quietly in her sleep at Rappahannock-Westminster Canterbury in Irvington on July 19, 2006. She was born in Florence, S. C., the youngest of three daughters of the late Wade Douglass and Maria Haynsworth Craig. Miss Craig was preceded in death by her sisters, Belva Craig Childs and Marilyn Craig Hendrix.
Surviving are three loving nieces, Shirley Childs Ferguson, Carolyn Haynsworth Childs and Nancy Hendrix Kirby; three devoted nephews, Theron Craig Childs, Wade Douglas Childs and Thomas Baker Childs; ten great nieces and nephews.
Miss Craig retired in 1985 as Director of Volunteer Services after 20 years at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia. She was an elder and an active member in the Presbyterian Church.
Graveside services were held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Florence, S. C.
