Obituary
Herbert Marcus Abelson, 85, a longtime resident of Chattanooga, TN, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005. Mr. Abelson was born in Charlotte, NC, a son of the late Morris and Ada Rubin Abelson. A building contractor, he earned his B.A. degree in industrial management from Georgia Tech.
He was a Veteran of World War II and was of the Jewish faith.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine C. Abelson, Chattanooga, TN; daughter, Patricia Maner, Johnson City, TN; sons, Lee Abelson, Signal Mountain, TN and Richard Abelson, Chattanooga, TN; four grandchildren; and his stepchildren.
A private funeral service will be held.
