She is survived by seven children, Eldon of New Market; Mae Anderson of Braddyville; Orval of Portland, Or; Mrs Vernon (Esther) Hamilton of Clarinda; Earl of Council Bluffs; Howard of Kenai, Ak and Harold of Carmichael, Ca.
She spent most of her life in Page and Taylor Counties, moving to New Market from Braddyville in 1931. She was a member of the Church of Christ in New Market and was active as long as her health permitted.

Florence Ethel Maxwell, the daughter of John and Harriet Maxwell was born July 4, 1887 near Siam, Iowa. She was the last of ten children.
She passed away August 6, 1980 at the Bethesda Care Center in Clarinda at the age of 93 years, 1 month and 2 days. She had lived at the Bethesda Care Center for nearly two years.
She was united in marriage to Lorenzo Snively January 6, 1904 at the home of her parents south of New Market.
She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Marjorie Bangs.
She is survived by five sons and two daughters: Eldon, New Market; Mae Anderson, Braddyville, Ia; Oral, Portland, Oregon; Mrs Vernon (Esther) Hamilton, Clarinda, Ia; Earl, Council Bluffs: Howard, Kenai, Alaska; and Harold, Carmichael, Calif; 22 grandchildren, and 49 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; friends and relatives.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in New Market and was active as long as health permitted. She loved to work outdoors and close to nature and was a lover of flowers.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 9, 1980 at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with Loren Daly officiating. Rosevelyn Bashor was soloist and Mary Anderson organist. Casketbearers were: Michael Snively, Clare Bangs, Ronald Newman, Calvin Hamilton, Fred Miller Jr, and Danny Lusk.
