WHITESBORO - Howard Cecil Adams was born April 27, 1924 in Monkstown to Charlie and Clara Bell McCoy Adams. He passed away May 23, 2011 at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ. Mr. Adams is survived by his wife Ruth Adams of the home; three stepsons and their wives, Johnny and Vickie Barnes, Jerry and Judy Barnes of Gainesville, Kenneth and Jackie Barnes of Cedar Mills and Billy Bob Barnes of Whitesboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kayleen; one grandson; three sisters; and three brothers. There is no scheduled visitation. A private memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3 at the Dixie Cemetery with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating.
