Mrs Ida May Hennard, died Friday, Nov 16, 1973 Madison County Hospital
following a lengthy illness. She was 87 years of age.
Mrs Hennard was born Sep 13, 1886 in Normangee, Leon Co., Texas and was
the daughter of Delphie Carpenter Henry. She was married in Normangee, Texas
Nov 7, 1906 to Will Hennard. She was a longtime member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted from Davis Cozart Funeral Home Saturday,
Nov 17, 1973 at 2pm with Rev L.O. Manning and Rev William L Walters officiating
Interment was made in Hopewell Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Arthur Graham, William Thomas Towery, Bob Jordan, Lloyd A Overcash,
George Newsom amd Adell Hennard.
Survivors include three daughters; Mrs effie Batson, Normangee; Mrs Frances Parr, Houston;
and Mrs Doris Towery, Marquez; One step-daughter, Mrs Edna Stephens, Houston; 10 grandchildren,
9 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Nora Spikes of Bryan; two brothers, Robert and Walter Henry,
both of Normangee, several nieces and nephewws and a host of friends
