Lillie Louella Varnado Davis was born in Baxterville, Marion County (Present Day Lamar County), Mississippi. I am assuming that Lillie and her sister Eliza were twins. Lillie was born 9 May 1882 and Eliza was born 12 May 1882. Of course one of the monuments may have the incorrect birth date. According to the 1900 Census Eliza was born May 1882 and Lillie was born May 1884. She married William Arvil or Bill Davis 7 Feb 1901 in Marion County, Mississippi. They have a joint monument together. Her grave is confused often with Lillie L Davis buried in this same cemetery and close in proximity. This has been done often. Lillie L Davis married Joseph F Davis, brother of William Arvil or Bill Davis and Henry Thomas Davis, and thereby Lillie L Davis married Lillie Louella Varnado Davis's brother n law. Joseph F Davis and Lillie L Davis have joint monument together also. Henry Thomas Davis, brother of William Arvil or Bill Davis is buried in this cemetery as well.
