20 OTU's Miles Master (#T8780) aircraft, with an aircrew of two, was on a training flight when T8780 crashed, taking the life of RCAF Pilot Officer Victor Charles ARNOLD and seriously injuring RAFVR Flight Sergeant Jack Townley DUNMORE. Flight Sergeant Dunmore was admitted to Larbert Military Hospital where he died 12 days later from the injuries he had sustained in the aircraft accident.

The deaths were registered in Larbert, Scotland.

Pilot Officer Victor Charles Arnold is commemorated on Page 22 of Canada's Second World War Book of Remembrance.

He is also commemorated by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

And he is commemorated on Saskatchewan's Virtual War Memorial; Saskatchewan's Arnold Lake is named in his honour--to remember his service and sacrifice.
