MICHELE PURNELL DOWD Passed away July 8, 2009 at Jupiter Hospital. She and her identical twin sister were born at Queen of the Angels Hospital in Los Angeles, California March 26, 1945. Michele was survived by her loving mother, Genevieve Dowd; her twin sister, Christine Voinovich and sister, Kelly Donahue; three nieces and two nephews as well as thirteen great-nieces and nephews. Michele was also survived by her uncle, Charles R. Purnell. She was preceded in death by her father, talk show host Mike Douglas (Dowd).
Michele received her P.H.D. from University of Miami and taught school in the Inner City of Miami Dade County. She was compassionate about her family, friends, politics and her pets especially Casey. Funeral mass was held at the Chapel in St. Paul of the Cross Church, North Palm Beach, Florida.
