Rebecca Adams
Rebecca "Becky" Adams, 79, a three-year resident of Sierra Vista, Ariz., died Wednesday, August 31 at her home.
Born January 4, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Ethel and Thomas Zombro.
When she was three years old her family moved to Santa Monica, Calif. At the age of 12 they moved to San Francisco, Calif. where she met her future husband, Paul Adams. They were married April 8, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois.
While in Chicago, Mrs. Adams worked for Hunters Point Naval Shipyard as a draftsman during World War II. After the war, they moved to Walnut Creek, Calif. where they owned their own insurance business until 1984 when they retired and moved to Southport. In 2002 they moved to Sierra Vista, Ariz. where Mrs. Adams was a member of the Sierra Vista Elks Ladies Auxiliary.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Paul B. Adams of Sierra Vista; four children, Thomas (Arlene) Adams of San Diego, Calif., Joanne (Raymond) Kanes of Napa, Calif., Mahlon (Cindy) Adams of Walnut Bottom, Penn., and Judith (William) Vance of Durham, N.C.; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jensen's Sierra Vista Mortuary in Sierra Vista, Ariz.
