Mrs Elizabeth Davison, wife of the late Ike Davison, passed away about eleven o'clock Thursday night, following a heart attack. Although she had been in poor health for several years, she had had no recent serious illness. She would reach her 70th birthday had she lived until May. Funeral services are set for Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Davison home. Burial at Memory cemetery. Rev E.L. Woods will have charge of the services.

She is survived by three sons, Glenn, A Olin and Burl, all of Clarinda, and five daughters, Pearl, Ruby and Rena, at home, Mrs Glen Wilcox of Loveland, Colo, and Mrs Lloyd Showalter of Wenatchee, Wash, one brother, R.M. Martha Elizabeth Davison, daughter of Robert and Mary Hicks, was born May 6, 1869, near Ladoga, Ia, and departed this life March 23, 1939, at her home in Clarinda at the age of 69 years, 10 months and 17 days. Most of her life had been spent in this community. She married Isaac Davison November 10, 1887. To them were born ten children: Pearl, Ruby and Rena, living at home, Glen and Olin of Clarinda, Mrs Mable Showalter of Wenatchee, Wash, Mrs Blanche Wilcox and Burl of Loveland, Colo. Two children, Gertrude and Marie, and her husband and one grandchild preceded her in death. Besides her family she leaves one sister, Myra Davison, two brothers, Rufus and Elisha Hicks, and sixteen grandchildren. In the later years of her life she became a member of the Church of Christ. Her friends and family bear testimony to her Christian faith, her devotion to her family.

Memorial services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock. Rev Elsworth Woods in charge. Music was furnished by Mrs Doris Forbes. Interment was not made until Thursday, awaiting the arrival of the daughter from Washington. On Thursday afternoon short services were held and burial at Memory cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymon Peterson, Norman Peterson, Lawrence Higgins, Everett Renshaw, Robert Collings, Donald Slump and Gerald Jones. CLARINDA HERALD-JOURNAL, Clarinda, Iowa, Apr 10, 1939
