Earnest C. Lane, 83, of Tyler, TX, died there Friday evening, August 12, 1977.
He was married to the late Norma Hargroves Lane who died on May 25, 1973.
Mr. Lane was born October 2, 1888 in Nashville, TN, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Lane. He had lived in Paris, TX at 24 SE 21st. Street until six or seven years ago. He was a nurse and a Baptist.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Marvin Burns, Mrs. Ray Cole and Mrs. Wayne Hamilton; a son, Ralph Lane; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Fry & Gibbs Chapel with the Rev. Terrell Hill officiating. Interment was made in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Harold Prowse, Larry Michael Perkins, Clyde Lane, Douglas Lane and Gene Burns.
