Malcolm Eberle Moore was the oldest son of Jesse A. Moore and Elizabeth Moore. The town of Moorefield was named after Jesse A. Moore, who owned most of the area at one time. Malcolm was married to Maud Marvin Mack on 27 December 1905 at her home "The Oaks" located near Moorefield by Rev. C.F. Hively, Methodist Minister Officiating.

Malcolm was secretary of the Moorefield Flour Mill in the early 1900's. He was also a farmer and dairyman; and, in later years, he worked for the Independence County Triple "A" for fifteen years. He was acting Secretary-Treasurer and Executive Director of the Northeast Arkansas Regional Housing Authority when he retired.

He served as a Sunday School Superintendent. In 1950 they were honored in a special church meeting when they were presented service pins for fifty years of continuous service in the Moorefield Methodist Church. He was a regular delegate and attendant at North Arkansas Conference of The Methodist Church.
