SILVER SPRING,MARYLAND -- Russell E. Densock, 89, of Silver Spring, died peacefully at home on Sunday, May 22, 2011.

Born July 7, 1921, he was the son of the late Cora Bell Thomas and Daniel A. Densock.

He is survived by his loving wife, Louise Densock, of 66 years; one sister, Betty George; two children, Diana Yavetz and Rob Densock; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He served in the US Army from 1942-1946 and was a veteran of World War II. He worked as a manager for Poch Hardware in Potomac, for many years.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Molesworth-Williams, P.A., Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD 20872 and on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hafer Funeral Service, P.A., 1302 National Hwy., LaVale, MD 21502.

Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Interment will be held at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap, Flintstone, with the Rev. Donna Renn officiating.
