Brother of Nelda Hillgartner (Kavelman). Son of John and Mary (Reiber) Hillgartner. Norman was born in Wilmot township near Dundee in the house his grandparents John and Elizabeth ? Hillgartner built in 1850. Norman served in WW11. When Norman inherited the family farm from his father he sold it to become a Butcher. Norman was married to Lorena 'Rena' Gerhardt and had 2 children, Myrtle and Doreen Hillgartner. Norman was killed by a car while delivering meat.
