Fred W. Kummer, 75, of Sheboygan, died today at the Sheboygan Retirement Home following a short illness.

He was born on Jan. 14, 1900, in Sheboygan, son of the late Fred and Elizabeth Kummer.

He attended public schools here, and married Anita Bliss of Madison on April 26, 1941. They made their home in Sheboygan.

Mr. Kummer was a car and truck salesman in Sheboygan, retiring in 1970.

He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and its Brotherhood and was treasurer of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for more than 25 years.

Surviving are his widow; two sons, William and James, both of Sheboygan; four grandchildren; a brother, Norman, of Girard, Ohio, and a sister, Mrs. John Roy of Evanston, IL.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels, with the Rev. George Mohr, pastor of Zion Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
