I am still researching Benjamin & Viania Ordiway. They were my granddaughter's 3rd Great Grandparents. They are buried together in GRIMES cemetery.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN ORDIWAY was born on July 12, 1857, in Cameron County, Pennsylvania, the child of GEORGE W and HANNAH (MAINE) ORDIWAY. He married VIANIA EASTWOOD about 1877. They had six children in 14 years. He died on July 11, 1933, in Keating, Pennsylvania, at the age of 75, and was buried in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania.

Benjamin died on July 11, 1933 after an extended battle with bladder cancer.

Benjamin & Viania had 6 children (with names & birth years from US census records):
Jane Nancy Ordiway (1878-1910)
*Ceylon Truman / George W Ordiway (1880-1952) (see note below)
Rose Nell Ordiway (1884-1957)
Cecil Norman Ordiway (1889-1963)
WILLARD RAY ORDIWAY (twin) (1892-1977)
Millard Roy Ordiway (twin) (1892-1983)

* Records strongly support that Ceylon Ordiway and George W Ordiway are the same child. Ceylon reports various birth dates including May 1880 (1900 census); May 23, 1878 (WWII Draft Registration); May 23, 1879 (WWI Draft Registration); Birth date of May 15, 1878 was reported on his death certificate by informant Lester Ordiway, but headstone has May 23 1878. Ceylon is NOT listed on the 1880 census record, but son George W Ordiway is listed as one month old with birth of May 1880. George W Ordiway does NOT appear on any subsequent records, and Vianna reported mother of only 6 living of 6 children born when completing the 1900 census. Listed as "Celand" in his father's obituary.
