On July 1, 1933 he married Gayle Neubauer at Livingston, Montana.
After his father's death in 1942, he helped his brother, Paul, establish a ranch in Montana. In the fall of 1949, Peach bought an interest in the cattle of the Red Cloud Cattle Company near Jay Em, Wyoming and operated the ranch until the spring of 1970. Because of poor health, he sold his interests and moved to Cheyenne.
Peach was no stranger to Cheyenne. For several years he furnished wild horses for Frontier Days. Steer roping was one of his hobbies. He competed in Frontier Days, Pendleton, State Fair and local rodeos for years.
He was a member of World War I Veterans, American Legion, Douglas; Wyoming Consistory 32-degree Mason, Cheyenne; Masonic Lodge, Natural Bridge Chapter No. 9 and Ashlar Lodge No. 10, Douglas; Wyoming Pioneer Association; Goshen County and Wyoming Stock Growers Association; Elks Lodge, Torrington.
Survivors were his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Wm. H. (Patti) Gray, Orin; Mrs. Fred (Ruth) Hageman, Shawnee, Wyoming and Fort Collins, Colorado; a brother, Paul Shaw of Wibaux, Montana; six nephews and six nieces and their families.
Two brothers, Clay and Dewey Shaw and a sister, Mrs. Harry (Irene) Isaac, preceded him in death.
