Blanche Elizabeth Martin was born February 2, 1911 on a farm outside Fort Collins, Colorado the daughter of Ernest Sylvester and Edith Ethyl (Daggert) Martin. She attended country schools until the 7th grade when the family moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1928. Blanche married William S. Reece May 24, 1930 in Harrisburg, Nebraska. Mrs. Reece was survived by sons, William Reece of Victoria, B.C.; and Curt Reece of Douglas; daughters, Sharon King of Lander, Wyoming and Lynn Reece of Douglas; nine grandchildren, son-in-law Wayne King; and daughters-in-law Kathy Reece and Wanda Reece. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William on July 17, 1984 and one great-granddaughter. (Information was obtained from her obituaries and cemetery records.)
