Casper married Clara Marie Brauksieker/Brocksieker, 4 Nov 1852, and eventually they settled in Wood County, Ohio. He was a farmer by trade. They had the following children:
Heinrich (1853), Maria (1855), Frank (1857), Mary Caroline(1859), Casper Heinrich Jr. (1862), Eliza (1865), Catharine (1867), Anna Catherine (1869), Caroline Matilda (1872),John Frederick (1875), and Jacob Heinrich (1878).
