Ottis F. Blair, Sr., 85, formerly of 1407 Luick Ave., died Monday in Fountainview Place Nursing Home, where he had resided for nine months.
Born in Elwood, he spent his adult years in Muncie and formerly worked at Goodyear. He was a city policeman in the 1930s and retired from Ball State University police department in 1965.
He was a veteran of both World Wars. Mr. Blair was a member of Riverview Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by a son, Ottis Jr., Muncie; a daughter, Lisa Eckoff, St. Louis; a grandchild; two step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Parson Mortuary-Wheeling Chapel, with burial in Gardens of Memory.
