Miss Lucille Alten, 76, well known concert organist in Los Angeles, California for 35 years died December 25, 1968 at 11:50p.m. in St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain, Ohio after a long illness.

She had returned to Lorain eight years ago and made her home with her twin sister, Mrs. Arthur (Corinne) McGee at 348 East Erie Avenue in Lorain, Ohio.

Miss Alten was a member of a well known pioneer Lorain family. Her father, the late Nicholas Alten, was one of the largest ship handlers on the Great Lakes and also was one of the oldest hardware dealers in this area.

Miss Alten was a member of the first graduating class of St. Mary's Academy, now St. Mary's High School and then attended Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, specializing in organ. She was a member of St. Anthony Church, the Third Order of St. Francis and the Marian Guild.

Surviving besides the twin sister are two other sisters, Mrs. Frederick (Geralda) Keller of Los Angeles and Mrs. Raymond (Alice) Burgan of West Covina, California; two nieces and a nephew.

The funeral was held through the Reidy-Scanlan Funeral Home in Lorain, Ohio. A service was conducted at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Lorain.
