"TRENTON, Mo. -- Herbert Ellsworth Hudson, 76, died Thursday night at a hospital in Trenton.

He was born Oct. 4, 1909, in Spickard, Mo. Mr. Hudson was a graduate of Trenton High School and Trenton Junior College. He taught school in Humphreys, Mo. In 1934, he married Inah Pauline Williams. She survives of the home. He had been a farmer and stockman on a farm southeast of Humphreys. He had been the first president of the Sullivan County Farm Bureau and past master of A.F. & A.M. Lodge No. 32. He was also a leader of 4-H activities.

Additional survivors include two sons, Terry Hudson of the home and Jerry Hudson of Trenton; a brother, Donald Hudson of Humphreys; two sisters, Bessie Ireland of Flint, Mich., and Opal Trobough of Miami, Okla.; and two grandsons.

The body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Humphreys Christian Church." St Joseph News-Press, December 28, 1985
