At an early age her parents; moved to Elk Creek, Missouri, where she lived until her marriage to Rob Rust in 1915. They lived most of their life on a farm at Solo, Missouri. They had five children.
She was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church until the death of her husband in 1946 at which time she moved her membership to Manes Memorial Baptist Church.
For the past three years she had been in ill health and has been residing in Kabul Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, eight brothers and four sisters.
Surviving are four sons, Wayne and Ray of Ray of Cabool, Glen of Ash Grove, Missouri and Bobbie of Rogersville, Missouri; one daughter, Madge Elmore of Houston, Missouri, one sister, Mabel Stouse of Houston, Missouri; 20 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren.
The two most important things in her life was her love for Christ and her love for her family as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m., July 17, 1990 in Cabool Christian Church with Tim Randall and Rev. Frank Hill officiating. Burial was in Oak Dale Cemetery under direction of Elliott Gentry.
