Obituary:

Richard Poulton, 84, of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center in Clare, Michigan. Mr. Poulton was born the son of Chester and Goldie (Call) Poulton on November 12, 1920 in New Lexington, Ohio. Richard was united in marriage to the late Martha L. Poulton on June 15, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri. Richard had resided in the Harrison area since 1981 coming from Lansing, Michigan. Mr. Poulton served in the United State Army during WWII. Richard was a musician by trade and played with the North Country Four Band for several years and prior to this he played guitar at the Red Rail Bar of Lansing for many years. He was also a member of the Harrison Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his only daughter; Sue and husband Darwin Reed of Lake, Michigan, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Martha on December 20, 1983, his parents and one brother; William Poulton.
Funeral services were held on Friday, April 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. from Stocking Funeral Home with Elder Dale Beavers officiating and the American Legion providing Military Honors. Interment will be in Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison.
