Midshipman and mechanical engineer. He graduated from the Naval Engineering College, and studied at the Petrograd Mining Institute. Took part in the Civil War. In 1920 he emigrated to the Russian squadron in Tunisia. He served in the rescue tug, and then on the railway. In 1923 he moved to France and lived in Lyon, later in Paris. Dealt with problems of chemical engineering. April 13, 1930 addressed the Society of Russian chemists in Paris with a report on the use of vegetable tanning.
