Funeral services for Joe James Nixon, 709 W. Line, are still pending at the Brooks-Sterling Mortuary.
Mr. Nixon died Monday morning at a Tyler hospital.
He was an employee of the Tyler Bank and Trust Co. for 16 years. He was a member of the True Vine Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lorine Nixon of Tyler; one daughter, Mrs. Lois Guthrie of Tyler; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Payton of Cleveland, Tex., and Mrs. Gladys Hyter of Tyler; three brothers, W. N. Brooks of Chicago, Claude Nixon and A. T. Brooks, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral Slated For Joe Nixon
Funeral services for Joe James Nixon, 709 W. Line, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday at the True Vine Baptist Church with the Rev. Moses P. Timms officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brooks-Sterling Mortuary.
