Columbus Junction, died on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at
Colonial Manor Care Center.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December
23, 2013, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation
Services in Columbus Junction, Iowa.
Private inurnment with family will be at a later date in the Columbus City Cemetery.
There is no visitation scheduled. Memorials may be directed to the
Columbus City United Methodist Church.
Marjorie was born on June 8, 1921, in Weatherby, Missouri, the daughter of Virgil P. and Callie Tucker Dunham. On November 18, 1939, Marjorie was united in marriage to Orville O. Collier in Weatherby.
She and her husband owned and operated Collier's Grocery Store in Columbus City. She then worked 20 years for Thatcher Plastic. She was a member of the Columbus City United Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors and Rebekah's.
Lucy will be dearly missed by her children, Dixie Schwab and husband, Paul, and Paul and Richard Collier, all of Columbus Junction; eight grandchildren, Anne, Bob and Bill Schwab, Rick and Johnathan Collier, and Andy, Nicholas and Tony Carpenter; 12 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Virgie Smith of Adda, Oklahoma.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Judy Carpenter; three brothers; and four sisters
