Mr. Jessie Clyde Drake - FAULKVILLE - Mr. Jessie Clyde Drake, 96, died Monday, May 9, 2011. He was a humble man and a native of Johnson County, GA but lived most of his life in the Savannah area. He retired from Union Camp in 1976 and went on to enjoy over 34 years of retirement. Most of it was spent in his vegetable garden, camping and traveling. He was a member of Alpha United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Curtis Drake, his first wife, Ruby Thomas Drake, and granddaughter DeAnn Drake Neal. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Miller Drake; daughter, Johnnie (Thomas) Tompkins of Dublin, GA; two sons, Edwin (Carolyn) Drake of Rincon and Ronnie (Sharon) Drake of Garden City; four grandchildren, Kevin Tompkins, Renee Kingsbury, Erin Zipperer and Ansley Drake; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road. Thomas C.
