Ernie was born on the Ogden/Burdick farm.

Married (1) Sept 5, 1906 to Emma Hartman, in Fremont Indiana, when both were aged 22.

Married (2) April 30, 1914 to Nora Waterhouse in Marshall, MI (Buried Knaus Cemetery) when Ernest was aged 30.

(Nora was witness to the drowning death of her young friend Lucy Burdick)

Married (3) Hazel Parker of Lester, Algansee CO TWP, Branch CO, MI, Died 1956, Buried Lester Cemetery


In the 1930 Census, Earnest was listed as divorced and living with his parents, along with Russell (age 13, grandson of James) and brother Ray (age 42).

Ernie left no descendants. He worked for Ford Motor Co. at one time, and did electrical work all his life. He didn't seem to care for farming, as his younger brother, Ray worked the farm when Grandpa retired. He held several offices in the Masonic Lodge.
