Mrs. Emily Estella Clapsaddle Sweeney, 71, wife of Patrick J Sweeney, 237 W. Chestnut St., Hanover, died Saturday at 8:40 in the Harrisburg Hospital where she was a patient three months.
A daughter of the late Frank and Jane Clapsaddle, she was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three brothers and three sisters, Charles Clapsaddle, Fairfield R1; Mrs. Bernard Kimple, Fayetteville R1; Leo Clapsaddle, Biglerville R1;
Mrs. Charles McGlaughlin, Fairfield R1; Mrs. Harry Wilkinson, Gettysburg, and Paul Clapsaddle, Orrtanna R1.
The funeral will take place Wednesday at 9:30 at the Panebaker Funeral Home, Hanover, followed by a requiem Mass in St. Joseph's Church at 10:00 Rev. Robert C Gribbin, church administrator, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Ignatius Loyola Church Cemetery, Buchanan Valley, with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Louis Yeager, pastor, officiating.
