Died Sunday, March 6, at 10 a.m. at her home at Walker. Aged 78, native of Bogue Chitto, Miss. The body at the home of C. M. Gilliland, Walker. Funeral service to be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 7, at the Gilliland residence with the Rev. H. B. Wilkinson officiating. Interment at Arcola Cemetery, the Hollabaugh-Spindle Funeral Home of Denham Springs directing arrangements.

Survived by five sons, Walter Badon of Hammond, Elzie of Zachary, Milton, Robert and Jim Badon, all of Spring Creek; four daughters, Mrs. Gussie Dykes of Spring Creek, Mrs. Minnie Barker of Killian, Mrs. Virgie McCray and Mrs. C. M. Gilliland, both of Walker; and a sister, Mrs. Julie Post, Pineville.

Gravesite Details

Mrs. Badon's obituary and death certificate both give her death date as March 6, 1960. The date of March 7th inscribed on her grave marker is wrong.
