Mrs. Linda Ankney Whipkey, 38, of Bolivar RD 1 died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1988, in Latrobe Area Hospital.
She was born June 15, 1949, in Cook Township, a daughter of Gilbert Dean and Evelyn Newell Ankney of Star Route, Rector.
She attended Pleasant Grove United Presbyterian Church and was employed by Feedland in Ligonier.
She was predeceased by one sister Evelyn Marie Queer, in May 1984.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are her husband, Jesse L. Whipkey; two sons, Brian and Jesse Jr., both of Bolivar RD 1; one brother, Gilbert D. Jr. of Stahlstown RD 1, and paternal grandmother, Mary Ankney of Star Route, Rector.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Bell and East Church Streets, Ligonier, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth P. Rutter officiating.
Interment will be in Snowball Cemetery, Cook Township.
Helen H. Snyder, funeral director, is in charge of arrangements.
