A celebration of his life is planned for those wishing to celebrate his life at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at Blossom Church of God fellowship hall.
He was born May 31, 1930, in Harvell, MO., the son of Harmon and Iona Haynes Fox. He married Frances Levelle Stone on June 19, 1964, in Carthage, MO. He was a truck driver most of his life and loved taking trips with his family out west in the "Winnebago". Later in his life, his greatest past-time was selling at Gene's Flea Market and visiting at South Main Cafe with his coffee-drinking buddies.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Lawrence and Farrall Fox; two sisters-in-law, Hazel and Adele Fox; one son, Brian Stone; one son-in-law, Don Lake; his nephews, Larry and Gary Fox; and one grandchild, Celes Fox.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; daughters, Tresa Lake of Carl Junction, MO., Bevery Roddy and husband, Ronald, of Blossom, Barbara Scheerer and husband, Bill, of Carthage, MO., Karen McDowell and husband Ronnie, of Sumner; sons, Mark Fox and wife, Sherry, of Cooper, Michael Fox and wife Doretta, of Joplin, MO., Brent Stone, of Paris; grandchildren, Ryan McKee and wife Chrissy, of Webb City, MO., Tonya Conrad, Alishia Bratcher and husband, John, all of Blossom, Travis Brown and wife, Sarah, of Middleton, Ohio, Stephanie Wells and husband, Eric, of Mechanicsburg, PA. ,Jeremy Fox and wife, Kim, of Bokchito, OK., Michael David Fox and wife, Kaitlin, of Greenville, Heather Osborne and husband, Brad, of Reno, Brandi Kirk and husband, Justin, Rebecca Bernard and husband, Jeremy, Michael Andrew and Donnie Fox, all of Joplin, MO.; great-grandchildren, Colton and Braden McKee, Caleb, Jacob, and Joshua Bratcher, Kenlon, Morgan, Alexander and Cameron Wells, Elise and Ethan Fox, Christian, Trinity and Ava Osborne and Anthony Kirk and Willow Bernard..
