Lester E. Deardorff, 86, of Westminster, died Monday, December 22, 1986, at his home. Born in Medford, he was the son of the late Clayton R. and Sallie Koontz Deardorff. He retired from Baltimore Gas & Electric Company and was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Ethel Bitzel Deardorff; sons Lester H. and Franklin E. Deardorff, both of Westminster; daughters Jean A. Deardorff and Alice Lockard, both of Westminster; sisters, Gladys Punte and Katharine Sullivan, both of Baltimore; Evelyn Wantz of Daytona Beach, Fl.; and Treva Koontz of Westminster; brother Mervin Deardorff, of Westminster; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 AM Wednesday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, with the Rev. Frederick P. Eckhardt, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Smallwood. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
