Was in Service to a large household from the age of 8. worked up ladder to become a head cook for 40 years. Married and later divorced in 1926 to a Mr Grant, whom she took on the name. 2dn Marriage to Mr Fred Hall(see entry) had 4 sons. 1 died(Albert William Grant) in WW2 and is buried in Terdegheim cemetary, France. Died of double stroke, at Reading Berkshire Hospital.
