First known achievement was at School in 1908 where he won a medal. again in 1910 won medal for never late and always present. Served in Royal Worcesters during WW1 as a private. Shot in back by own Captain by mistake, whilst trying to rescue another soldier. Went on to become a Gardener for 7 years(1923-1930) then worked for Ocfordshire Council as a roadworker for the rest of his life. Died of natural causes/old age at home in Henley on Thames England
