Denise was a 23 year old young woman that disappeared in October of 1982. Medical investigator Bill Haglund used dental records to identify the remains. These remains were found in February 1990 that belonged to Denise. Surprisingly, some of her remains had already been found - five years earlier and 180 miles away, her skull and other bones were found near the Portland, Ore., suburb of Tigard in 1985. Denise was the eleventh murder victim of Gary Leon Ridgway, known as "The Green River Killer" who was responsible for the murder of 49 women in Seattle, Washington, between 1982 and 1984. Ridgway was found guilty for committing her murder.
