Parents; Walter and Alda Ouart.
She and her older sister, Erma, attended school in Stuart, where she became interested in nursing. Compassion and caregiving were among the many gifts that she chose to share with others.
She met her husband, John, while working in a doctor's office, and they were married August 15, 1936. Working side by side tuning pianos and crafting violins allowed Wilma and John to share in their love for music. Big band style was their favorite, and they would often spend time together listening and reminiscing. They enjoyed art in the form of photography. Their home included a studio and dark room, where they would develop and print their photos. Wilma would then complete the process with her oil tinting paints. Many of these photos were of their two daughters, Di Ann and Merrily Sue.
They moved their family from Stanton to Omaha, Nebraska, in 1949, and became contributing members of Westside Methodist Church.
In recent years, Wilma was a contributing member to the Crystal Cathedral Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
Survived by daughter Di and spouse Richard Robb; daughter Sue and spouse Tom Gingrich; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many grand-pets. She will be especially missed by Benny.
A private family gathering will be held with interment at a later date in Nebraska.
