Maude Melissa Allison was born 3 January 1920 at Ranger, EAstland Co., TX - died at Breckenridge, TX.

Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian Church in Breckenridge with Rev. Andrew Channer officiating.

She spent most of her childhood in Eliasville. She graduated from Eliasville High school.

Miss Maude McClure married M.O. "Shorty" Allison on 27 December 1945 in Breckenridge.

Mrs. Allison was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian church and was active in the Order of Eastern Star. She was a Worthy Grand Matron in Breckenridge and Deputy Grand Matron of Texas. Mrs. Allison was charter member of the Stephens Memorial Hospital Pink Ladies' auxiliary. She had served as a Meals on Wheels volunteer before becoming coordinator over 10 years ago.

Mrs. Allison was Citizen of the Year by the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club; Eckerd's 100 Top Volunteers of America; Masonic Lodge of Texas Community Builder's Award, Parade Marshall of the Breckenridge Christmas Parade.

She had worked for First National Bank for 38 years as a vice-president and loan officer.

Survivors: her husband; one daughter; two sisters; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister - Nellie Knight; one daughter - Charlene Brewer.
