Mr. John Wayne Crump, 55 of Mershon, passed away Saturday morning (April 23, 2011) at the Satilla Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Born in Blackshear, GA on February 19, 1956, Mr. Crump had lived in Pierce County all of his life. He was a carpenter and was a member of Walkerville Baptist Church. Mr. Crump will be remembered as the greatest dad and papa ever. He was a loving and dedicated husband and was a loyal brother. He was loving, patient and easy going and enjoyed helping others.

Mr. Crump was a son of the late John Henry & Deloris King Crump.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Reddish Crump of Mershon; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy & George Crosby of Mershon; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason & LaDonna Crump of Offerman; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Brenda & Barney Crosby of Blackshear and Darlene Luciani of Snellville, GA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve & Gail Crump of Patterson and Keith & Becky Crump of Blackshear; his mother-in-law, Maggie Nunn of Blackshear; 4 grandchildren, Charlie Crosby, Will Crosby, Elijah Crump and Alyssa Crump and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.

Memorials:
Memorials may be made to the Walkerville Baptist Church, 3000 Walkerville Church Road, Blackshear, GA 31516.

Visitation:
Visitation for Mr. Crump will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. The family is also receiving friends at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Brenda & Barney Crosby, at 4708 Highway 84, Blackshear.

Service:
Funeral services for Mr. Crump will be held at 3:00 o'clock Monday afternoon (April 25, 2011) from the Walkerville Baptist Church.

Cemetery:
Interment will be in the Walkerville Cemetery.
