On September 30, 1950, Jim married Maxine H. Errings. Maxine preceded Jim in death on March 3, 2008.
Jim is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Allen) Pritchard of Granger, IN, and Pam (John Hargreaves) Rightley of Osceola, IN; three grandchildren, Lisa (Chuck) Hundt of Fishers, IN, Angela (Darren) Acrey of Carmel, IN, and Nicole Nelund of South Bend, and her fiancé, Jeff Trenery; four great-grandchildren, Rylie Walls, Hanna Acrey, Quinn Hundt and Griffin Hundt; and one sister, Joan (Glenn) Lehman of Virginia.
Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, worked at Uniroyal, and had a successful career in the liquor industry. Our Dad was the heart of the family. He looked at life with a positive attitude and a helping hand to everyone. There were no strangers to Jim. His fun-loving spirit and quick wit were shared not only by his family but by everyone he met. There were no obstacles that he did not face head-on, and encouraged each of us to do the same. His devotion to his wife and love of his family were his priority.
