Mulberry, March 11 - Gideon M. Tyrie, 70, died this morning at 12:10 o'clock at his home at Monroe. Born August 29, 1866, in Howard county, he married Susan McNelly November 11, 1890. For the past 21 years he had been a cream buyer and also conducted a filling station until a year ago. He was a member of the Monroe U. B. church. His widow is Monroe correspondent for the Lafayette Journal and courier. Besides his widow he leave three daughters, Mrs. Russell Holliday and Mrs. Daisy Cornell, of near Dayton, and Mrs. Mabel Kiesle, Indianapolis, also a son, Floyd E. Tyrie, Indianapolis, and a half-sister, Mrs. Hattie Hullinger, of Veedersburg. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Monroe U. B. church. Burial in Monroe cemetery. Friends may call at the residence after noon Friday. Kleinsmith, funeral directors, in charge.
