Willits -- Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at the Anker-Lucier Mortuary Chapel for James Clyde Kester, 84, who died Jan. 18 at a Willis hospital.
The Rev. Larry Patten, of the First Methodist Church, and Willits Masonic Lodge 365 F, and A. M. will Officiate.
Kester was born May 1, 1903, in O'Dell, Tex. He had made his home in Willits since 1982, coming to this community from Dallas, Ore. He was a power lineman for 27 years, last employed by Pacific Power anf Light. He was a member of the Masonic Lyons Lodge 29 of Independence, Ore.
Surviving him are his wife, Verlia Pruor Kester of Willits; two children, Jean Finch of Willits and Jerry Leon Kester of Shelton, Wash; a brother Emil Kester of O'Dell, Tex.; a sister Fern Burnett of El Centro; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nices and nephews.
The family prefers memorial contributions be made to Shriners Children's Hospitals.
