Robin was born July 18, 1912 in the Cedar Hill community of Floyd County, Texas to John Cephus Fortenberry II and Vonnie Ann Lackey Fortenberry, the oldest of 5 children. Robin and Ruth Elizabeth Gill married December 23, 1933. Robin was a farmer in the Cedar Hill community until he and Ruth moved to Hereford, Texas in 1982. He also worked at Floydada Livestock Sales for several years. His family was his greatest joy. He is deeply missed.
