Theresa Krozser was born August 26, 1871 in Him, Abu Mege, Upper Hungary. This was during the time of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, 1866 - 1919. Theresa was 36 years old when she came to America in 1907 with her 16 year old daughter Agnes. Agnes was born in Zsadany, Hungary.

It is unclear as to what happened to Theresa's husband and Agnes' father. The father of Theresa' child may never be known. His first name may have been Joseph but his last name is long lost. In a 1912 Cleveland directory listing Theresa's address she is listed as widowed and husband's name was Joseph. Joseph may not have wanted a family and he left Theresa with a child (Agnes) in 1891 or before she was born. Apparently Theresa and Joseph (if that was his name) were never married. He may have been killed in a war before they were married. This is only one of the reasons that Theresa's daughter Agnes received her mother's maiden name (Krozser).

Theresa came to Cleveland, Ohio to live near her brother George II (Hungary – U.S.A. – Canada) who had already been in the United States since January 2, 1892. George II was living in Cleveland shortly afterwards. George Krozser II was married to Maria Kocis at St. Elizabeth's Church in Cleveland on August 5, 1895 by Pastor Charles Boehm. The Pastor Charles Boehm is also buried in Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland. Her other brother (my grandfather) Frank Krozser I and wife Elizabeth joined them in about 1913.

Theresa Krozser was my father's (George S. Krozser II's), aunt. She was the third of at least six children.

Her parents were George Krozser I born around 1848 and Maria Krozser (Fancel) born around 1850. The following were Theresa's brothers and sisters:

1) Maria Clara (Ujazda) Krozser was born in 1865. Maria stayed in Hungary as far as I know.
Maria married Andras or Andrew Ujazda.

2) Elizabeth Vereb (Krozser) was born in 1868. Elizabeth also stayed in Hungary as far as I know. Elizabeth married Istvan or Stephan Vereb.

3) Theresa Krozser was the third child.

4) George Krozser II, George was born on Dec 28, 1875. George came to America January 2, 1892 and then lived in Cleveland for a few years. George had three boys but one died in Cleveland. He took his wife and two boys to Canada sometime after 1913.

5) (My grandfather) - Frank Krozser I, was born in 1878. Frank and Elizabeth came to America in about 1913.

6) John Krozser was born in 1880. John remained in Hungary.

7) There may have been another brother, by the name of Steve or Stephan Krozser.
