John Q Rodgers, 63, of 9136 US 52-S, died December 13, in St Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He had been a patient at Home Hospital from October 21 until entering St Vincent December 4. Mr Rodgers, Was born April 17, 1927, in Penick, Ky. moving to this area in 1956. He was employed at Rostone Corporation for 33 years and worked in the finishing department, retiring in 1989. An Army Veteran of World War II, he was a member of American Legion Post 11 and Rostone Retirees 25-year Club. He was married July 9, 1947, in Lebanon, Ky, to Lucille Sapp, who survives with two sons, Johnnie H Rodgers, who is in the Army at Fort Benning, Ga, and Kenneth D Rodgers of Lafayette; a daughter Mrs Tom (Rita) Neel of West Lafayette; a brother, Ray Rodgers of Lexington, Ky, and three sisters, Mrs Virgil (Lenora) Riley, Mrs Ruby Beavers and Mrs Elva Walls, all o Lebanon, Ky. Service in Hippensteel Chapel December 17, the Rev Mark Hill officiating. American Legion Post 11, Monroe Cemetery.
